Unit 6 Project Topic B

Unit 6 Project

Q Introduction The course project is a series of elements where students will examine an organization's current compensation and benefits system. Students selected an organization and training topic in Unit 1 (ungraded but subject to approval) and will submit different elements in Units 3, 5, and 6. In the final component of the training program, students will provide recommendations to the organization on how the compensation program can be improved. Students will compile this work and submit the completed plan and recommendations in Unit 8. Directions Analyze the current state of the compensation system and address the compensation of special groups, including executives, unions' role in compensating the employees, any international compensation, and any other extraordinarily compensation elements that impact this organization. Reference should be made to these different factors that affect the organization. Submission Requirements • The body of the paper must be 4-5 pages—this does not include extraneous pages like the title page, reference page, and appendices. • A minimum of 5 scholarly resources is required. Course materials and personal experience do not count. An example of a scholarly resource can be an interview with an HR professional or a peer-reviewed article from a Park University Library Journal Database. • A formal, third-person tone is required. • Supplemental information (e.g., worksheets that are currently being used) can be presented in Appendices but does not count toward the body of the paper. • APA formatting standards are required. Note: Recommendations should not be made at this point— this is an analysis of current standing. However, if an organization does not have a set structure, the paper does not end at that point. Students need to include a discussion of the different methods that could be used. Again, recommendations will be made in Unit 8. Due Date • by 11:59 p.m., Sunday, CT. The assignment will focus on the compensation system for special groups, the roles of unions in compensating the employees, and extraordinary compensation elements that impact the organization. It’s the continuation of the previous assignment with few developments. Compensation for a special group. The special group is compensated differently because the success and failure of any organization are in their hands. It will be reasonable to reward them according to their performance. In Starbucks corporation, business units heads, geographical division heads, and team leaders are adequately compensated in various forms such as pay, flexible working hours, for instance; they don’t come for overtime, incentives to trigger expansion in their outlets; their pay is reviewed for an upgrade by the company’s shareholders every 3 years and frequent training. The company employs different strategies to satisfy and encourage this special group to forgive their best on the job (Lisa, 2022).
